SALARY: R582 444.per annum
CENTRE: Pretoria

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree (NQF Level 6) in Public Administration, Social Sciences, or Development Studies, as recognized by SAQA, or an equivalent qualification. They must have at least four (4) years of relevant experience, including a minimum of two (2) years at Senior Practitioner level in a monitoring, evaluation, and research environment.

Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of monitoring and evaluation rules, procedures, and methodologies. They must understand Batho Pele principles and good governance. In addition, they must be familiar with the Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, Civilian Secretariat for Police Service Act, South African Police Service Act, community structures, and the Public Finance Management Act.

Applicants must be computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. They must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as report writing, project management, and presentation abilities. Strong planning, organizing, analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills are essential. Applicants must also hold a valid driver’s license.


DUTIES

  • The successful candidate will develop and manage documentation to guide police performance monitoring and evaluation processes. They will support the development of policies, procedures, and data collection tools to track police performance.
  • They will design templates to improve monitoring efficiency by incorporating recommendations from approved reports. The candidate will plan and conduct oversight visits and develop tabulation plans.
  • They will draft Terms of Reference to guide the planning and conceptualisation of projects and develop strategies to improve police performance. In addition, they will implement and monitor project plans related to police performance.
  • The candidate will coordinate stakeholder engagement and facilitate monitoring and evaluation partnerships. They will oversee data collection and processing, analyse findings, and compile preliminary reports with conclusions and recommendations.
  • They will also manage financial and human resources within the unit.
